At 3'-5' tall, Shamrock was selected for its compact habit and glistening, bright green new foliage. This dwarf female holly makes an excellent hedge or border plant. Inconspicuous creamy white flowers May-June are a major nectar source for bees and other pollinators. 

Needs a male pollinator for female flowers to produce pea-sized black fruit that are attractive to songbirds through winter. Dense branching provides cover for wildlife.

Good choice as an evergreen hedge and for wet soils.
