Jasminum nudiflorum
Winter Jasmine
Among the earliest shrubs to welcome spring, this vigorous bloomer covers its arching stems with brilliant golden-yellow flowers before the foliage emerges. The dazzling floral display creates a striking blanket of color in the late winter landscape. Left to spread naturally, it makes an attractive flowering groundcover on slopes and banks. When given a trellis, fence, or other support, it can be trained to climb, reaching heights of up to 15 feet while adding dramatic vertical interest.
