Itea virginica 'Little Henry®'

Little Henry® Virginia Sweetspire

Selected for the compact habit at 3-4' tall and wide, Little Henry(R) is a good choice for smaller planting areas.

The 3-4" long flower racemes are slightly fragrant and attract pollinators.  Foliage turns deep plum in fall and leaves persist well into winter. Shiny red stems are attractive after the leaves drop.

Plants will spread by suckers in moist soil and make a good addition to shrub borders, woodland gardens, and naturalized areas.

  • Deciduous; rounded, compact habit
  • White, fragrant flowers in late spring to early summer
  • Great plant for a rain garden or bioretention application
