Magnolia grandiflora 'Kay Parris'
Magnolia
Considered one of the best evergreen magnolias, Kay Parris is a cross between Little Gem and Bracken's Brown Beauty. Kay Parris has glossy, medium-green leaves with wavy leaf margins, deep orange-brown and almost velvet-like underside. Fragrant flowers bloom late May to late September, attract pollinators, and are a bit smaller than the standard Southern magnolia flowers.
Magnolias provide songbirds nesting sites, shelter for wildlife, and food for caterpillars, birds, and small mammals.
At 15-20' tall and 8-10' wide at maturity, its compact, upright growth habit makes it an exceptional medium-sized, evergreen tree for smaller yards.
- Broadleaf, evergreen tree with fragrant white flowers
- Petite size is excellent for smaller landscapes
- Blooms at an early age
